The Sun Inn, Hardingstone

Most of the jazz nights take place at The Sun Inn, a beloved gastro pub nestled in the suburban village of Hardingstone. Established in 1850, it embodies the essence of a classic English pub, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.

The Barn, which adjoins the pub, offers a private and cosy setting for the jazz nights. It features its own private bar and toilets - separate from the main pub, ensuring an exclusive and comfortable atmosphere for guests to enjoy live jazz.

Shipmans, Northampton

Shipmans is one of Northampton’s oldest pubs. A public house has stood on this site since the early-to-mid 1700s! Over the centuries, the pub has gone through various transformations, including name changes, and today it’s well known locally for its signature cocktails.

With its cosy atmosphere, Shipmans offers an ideal setting for intimate solo and duo jazz performances.

Thanks to Shipmans, we’re bringing live jazz music right into the heart of Northampton. So why not come along, enjoy the music, and sip on a classic Shipmans cocktail?
The Lamplighter, Northampton

The Lamplighter is the latest venue to welcome Flamingo Jazz Nights. The venue is a warm, traditional corner pub dating back to 1871, formerly known as The Overstone Arms. It has been a family-run, independent free house since 2009 and is well known for its quality real ales, farmhouse ciders, and craft beers.

The jazz nights take place upstairs in the Drawing Room, a cosy and intimate space, similar in feel to The Sun Inn and Shipmans.

The Drawing Room is also big enough to host quartet and quintet bands, making it a great addition to the current venue roster.
