Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code. However, business casual is recommended if you're unsure what to wear.​​ The jazz nights are your special night, so look your best!

Is there parking nearby?

​

The Sun Inn - There is no car park at this venue. Street parking only.

​

Shipmans - There is no car park at this venue. Mayorhold Multi Storey is the nearest council run car park and is open 24 hours. It is just a 5-minute walk away. Charges apply.​

​

The Lamplighter - There is no car park at this venue. St. Michaels Multi Storey is the nearest council run car park and is open till midnight. It is just a 5-minute walk away. Charges apply.​

How accessible are the venues?

​

I am committed to making Flamingo Jazz Nights as welcoming and accessible as possible.

​

Our jazz nights currently take place across three venues, each with different access arrangements:

The Sun Inn (The Barn)

​

The main pub is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilet facilities. The jazz nights take place on the ground floor of the adjoining building (The Barn), which has a step at the entrance. Assistance and reasonable adjustments can be arranged where possible.

Shipmans (Drapery Room & Drum Room)

​

The jazz nights at this venue take place upstairs and access is via a narrow staircase only. Step-free access is not available due to the building’s size and age.

​

The Lamplighter (Drawing Room)

​

The jazz nights at this venue also take place upstairs and are accessible by stairs only, owing to the age and structure of the building. Step-free access is not available.

​

I recognise that not all venues are fully accessible. For this reason, the main jazz nights are held at The Sun Inn, where accessible facilities are available and assistance can be provided to support access to The Barn.

​

How do I purchase tickets?

​

Flamingo Jazz Nights is partnered with Ticket Tailor, the world’s largest independent ticketing platform. They're a no fuss, low cost service, which enables us to keep ticket prices down and the process of purchasing a ticket simple. 

​

An additional bonus is that Ticket Tailor are carbon neutral, are B Corp certified, and, for each ticket sold, 1p is donated to their climate charity partners.

​

Tickets for upcoming jazz nights can be securely purchased by clicking on the 'Calendar' tab and selecting the applicable event.

​

Please note, due to limited capacity at the venues, tickets can only be purchased in advance.

​

How will I receive my ticket?

​

You will be emailed an e-ticket after you have completed your booking. However, the name of the person who made the booking is usually all we ask for when entering the venue.

What is the seating policy?

 

Table seating bookings will be reserved. However, in the tradition of many jazz clubs, tables may be shared.

 

For standard seating bookings, the seating policy is first come, first served. It is best to arrive when doors open to reserve your spot. Don't worry though, ticket sales are restricted to the number of available seats at each venue, so you are guaranteed a seat.

Do I need to make a separate dinner reservation?

 

For the jazz nights at The Sun Inn and The Lamplighter, you don't need to make a separate dinner reservation if you have booked a table seating ticket. Dining is optional and there is no minimum table spend.

 

Please note, dining is not available for standard entry tickets at The Sun Inn and The Lamplighter. However, you are more than welcome to dine before the show in the main pub. Please contact The Sun Inn or The Lamplighter for reservation enquiries.

For the jazz nights at Shipmans, there is only one ticket type (standard entry) and dining is available should you wish to dine. There is no minimum table spend and no need to make a separate dinner reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

 

Tickets cannot be cancelled and refunded once purchased. However, if the jazz night is cancelled by Flamingo Jazz Nights, you will receive a full refund. Please email info@flamingojazznights.com for further enquiries.​​​ ​
